The position
Currently we are looking for a crane operator level 3 in possession of USA B1 OCA visa or USA nationality.
Role
You are charged with the mechanical operation of the crane, following directions from a colleague on deck and supervising the instruments in the operator's cabin. And you check and report frequently the mechanical functioning of the crane and machinery.
Other important tasks and skills are
- To assist with reeving activities;
- To ensure a proper shift and job handover;
- To attend the general toolbox talk at start of shift (work permitting);
- To understand and observe the emergency stop signs, radio and hand signals;
- To verify proper working of machinery and equipment and rectify if necessary;
- To every day daily for and report any defect or malfunction of the crane and its equipment;
- To monitor before lifting that lifts are properly hooked on and conditions are safe (e.g. no potential dropped objects);
- To validate proper choice of rigging and monitor position of hook related to the objects to be hoisted and rectify if necessary;
Qualifications:
- Crane operator Level 3
- USA B1 OCA visa or USA nationality
- Full GWO (First Aid, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness and Sea Survival)
